Are you a working traveller or arrive/leave New Zealand in the past 5 years?

If so, then we can file a part-year IR3 tax return on your behalf. If you earn no other income (other than salary or wages), then simply provide us with your arrival/departure date and we will do a free refund estimate and if it is beneficial to you we will then file a return. If you are travelling soon, you also need to provide your final payslip, flight details and receipt. It can take up to 10 weeks for the IRD to process these requests.

If so, then you are required by law to file an IR3 tax return. Unfortunately, not doing so can result in penalties and/or prosecution.
